We’re delighted that Vienna Pipes and Drums will once again take part in Vienna’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Celebrated worldwide on 17 March, St. Patrick’s Day honours Ireland’s patron saint and has grown into a vibrant celebration of Irish culture, music and community. In Vienna, the parade brings a touch of Ireland to the city centre each year and has become a firm highlight in the cultural calendar.
Join us on Saturday, 14 March, as we march through the city centre from Freyung to Burgtheater via Michaelerplatz. The parade starts at 12:15 PM and is organised by a broad coalition including the Irish Embassy, Shamrock Dance Company Vienna, Vienna Gaels GAA Club, the Austro-Irish Society, and local Irish pubs.
