Vienna Pipes and Drums will be holding their annual Whisky Tasting fundraiser on Saturday 12th October 2019.
Join the band for an evening of music, craic and fine single malt Scotch whisky! We will have a range of whiskies from all around Scotland for you to sample, as well as a cash bar selling beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.
Tickets are €35 and allow you to sample as many whiskies as you wish (drinks from the bar are not included). All proceeds go to supporting the band with tuition, instruments, and competition travel.

Merken Sie diesen Termin vor! Am 25. Jänner 2020 veranstaltet die Band ihr neuntes jährlich wiederkehrendes Burns Supper (eine Feier anläßlich des Geburtstages des schottischen Dichters Robert Burns). Auch diesmal gibt es wieder schottisches Essen, Musik, Gedichte und Tanz.
Im Eintrittspreis von 30€ ist eine Portion echten schottischen Haggis enthalten. Es gibt aber auch vegetarisches Haggis. An der Bar wird es verschiedenste Getränke geben. Schottische Single Malt Wiskies dürfen hier natürlich auf keinen Fall fehlen.
Später am Abend spielt dann eine schottische Ceilidh Band zum Tanzen auf.
Einlaß ist um 18:30 (Bar wird auch um diese Zeit geöffnet). Die offizielle Eröffnung findet um 19:00 statt.
Karten sind von Dezember erhältlich.

The Vienna Pipes and Drums bagpipe band is hosting its ninth annual Burns Supper on Saturday 25 January 2020. We offer a packed programme with traditional Scottish food, music, poetry, and dance, all in homage to Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.
The ticket price includes a dinner of Scottish-made haggis and tatties (vegetarian haggis is available). As always, we will have a well stocked bar serving a wide range of Scottish single malt whiskies.
We’ll also have plenty of live music for you and a live Scottish ceilidh band to dance along to later on in the evening. The doors and bar will be open from 18:30, with the official start of the festivities at 19:00.

Vienna Pipes will be playing once again the in the Festsaal of the glorious Hofburg, as part of the opening ceremony of the 2020 IAEA Staff Association Ball.

Leider müssen wir die für Samstag den 20. November geplante Whisky Verkostung der Vienna Pipes and Drums absagen. Aufgrund der sich verschlimmernden COVID-19 Situation in Wien haben wir uns leider dazu entschlossen, die Veranstaltung zu verschieben.
Wir planen die Verkostung 2022 nachzuholen, sobald sich die Coronavirus-Situation wieder verbessert hat. Wir entschuldigen uns bei allen Whisky-Fans die für Samstag Tickets gekauft haben. Wir hoffen euch alle bald wieder zu sehen!
Der Preis für gekaufte Tickets wird zurückerstattet. Wir bitten um euer Verständnis, dass wir für die Bearbeitung ein bis zwei Tage brauchen werden.
Am Samstag den 20. November 2021 veranstalten die Vienna Pipes and Drums die traditionelle Benefiz – Whisky Verkostung!
Seien Sie dabei bei einem Abend voll Musik, Spaß und den besten schottischen Single Malt Whiskies. Wir bieten eine Auswahl an Whiskies aus allen Regionen Schottlands. An der Bar gibt es außerdem Bier, Wein, antialkoholische Getränke und Snacks zu kaufen. Einlass ist ab 19:30 Uhr, die Verkostung beginnt um 20:00 Uhr.
Eintrittskarten kosten 38€, inkludiert ist die Verkostung der angebotenen Whiskies(Getränke und Snacks von der Bar sind nicht inkludiert). Alle Einnahmen kommen der Band zu Gute und helfen uns den Unterricht, Instrumente und unsere Reisen zu Wettbewerben zu finanzieren.
Die Whisky Verkostung 2021 ist unsere erste Benefizveranstaltung seit dem Burns Supper im Jänner 2020 und wir freuen uns, endlich wieder Freunde des schottischen Whisky und der Dudelsackmusik bei uns im Pfarrsaal der Pfarre St Florian, Wiedner Hauptstraße 97, 1050 Wien, begrüßen zu dürfen.
Der Eintritt ist nur für jene erlaubt die 2G + Test erfüllen. Voraussetzung ist also eine Bestätigung der Impfung gegen SARS COV 2 oder der Nachweis einer durchgemachten Erkrankung(nicht älter als 6 Monate), plus einem gültigen PCR oder Antigen Testergebnis. Selbsttests sind nicht ausreichend und können nicht akzeptiert werden. Helfen Sie uns die Kontrolle zu erleichtern und benutzen Sie die Grüner Pass Mobiltelefon App. Gäste ohne gültigen 2G + Test Nachweis können nicht teilnehmen. This is our first band fund-raising event since the Burns Night in January 2020, and we are looking forward to welcoming back fans of good Scotch whisky and bagpipe music.
Entrance will be strictly “2G + tested” i.e. you must be certified as vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19, AND also possess a valid PCR or antigen test result. Self-tests will not be accepted. Guests must bring official evidence of their vaccination or recovery and a valid test result, preferably using the Grüner Pass mobile phone app. Guests without a valid certificate will not be admitted – no exceptions and no refunds!
